Head of Marketing & Sponsorship | Sport & Lifestyle - Central London

Our client is a world leading luxury brand, manufacturer, marketer and retailer of premium jewellery. Founded over 120 years ago and showcasing a turnover of £3 billion, they are now looking for a Head of Marketing & Sponsorship with luxury / premium brand experience to drive sport & lifestyle-related partnership opportunities.

As Head of Marketing & Sponsorship, you’ll be responsible for driving awareness of the Sport & Lifestyle department, both internally and externally, whilst managing and developing a small team. You’ll increase brand awareness and perception across the Sport & Lifestyle industries, via product placement-related sponsorship and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and implement global communication strategy for Sport & Lifestyle, liaising closely with relevant regional offices
  • Manage all aspects of company product placement as part of projects /  collaborations and sponsorships
  • Manage all departmental public relations and high profile events and activities
  • Secure significant editorial coverage for Sport & Lifestyle by developing and pitching stories, securing maximum visibility of new products in well-targeted international and regional media
  • Ensure celebrity and press attendance in order to generate editorial coverage
  • Manage coordination of all marketing and communication activities with internal business units and communication departments
  • Position brand as a key player within the sport & lifestyle industry
  • Manage annual budget, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling, mid-term planning, re-forecasting and analysis of ROI

Skills & Experience required:

  • Substantial sponsorship / partnership experience
  • Luxury / premium brand experience and awareness
  • Experience working with sport and / or lifestyle-related brands
  • People management experience, able to mentor and develop staff
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on multiple concurrent projects
  • Comfortable with fast turnaround of projects, able to prioritise, troubleshoot and be calm under pressure
  • Confident working in a newly-established department
  • An entrepreneurial mind set and flexible approach
  • Results orientated paired with strategic thinking
  • Excellent project management skills
